Just outside of Cashiers, North Carolina, is Castle Ladyhawke where Sammi and Tate’s gorgeous September wedding took place. Our team was honored to capture every magical moment of this real-life fairy tale, made even more special by the personal connection that brought me there.

A Connection of Love

I was introduced to the bride, Sammi, through her friend Ivy, another beautiful bride I had the pleasure of with. 

A Ceremony Filled with Emotion

As Sammi began her walk down the aisle, the atmosphere was charged with emotion. Tate, couldn’t hold back his tears. Even the officiant was moved by the love between the couple. It’s these raw, genuine moments that make wedding cinematography such a privilege.

The ceremony took place in front of a beautifully crafted cross, lovingly made by Tate’s grandfather. This personal touch added a layer of family history and deep sentiment to the proceedings, perfectly embodying the couple’s commitment to faith and family.

Family Ties

Sammi’s bridesmaids, consisting of her sisters and Tate’s sister, stood by her side, their presence a testament to the strong family bonds at the heart of this union. Throughout the day, emotions ran high, with each moment seeming to outdo the last in its poignancy.

One particularly touching moment was the mother-son dance. The love between Tate and his mother was beautifully evident, creating a moment of tenderness that left hardly a dry eye in the house.

A Castle Fit for Royalty

Castle Ladyhawke provided a truly majestic backdrop for Sammi and Tate’s special day. With its stone walls and gorgeous mountain views, the venue seemed straight from the pages of a storybook. 

Perfect Weather, Perfect Moments

We were blessed with fantastic weather, it was perfect for their outdoor celebration. Before the ceremony, Sammi and Tate shared an intimate first look, reading their personal vows to each other away from the crowd. 

A Fairy Tale Ending

As the night drew to a close, Sammi and Tate shared a private dance on the castle’s terrace. The celebration ended with a dazzling sparkler send-off, with their loved ones lining the way as the newlyweds embarked on their new life together.
